As a group, we all thought one of the main reasons for being homeless was due to drug and alcohol abuse. But, as we got into more research, we've actually found that there's more to homelessness than you think. Relationship breakdowns- between young people and their parents/ step parents, is a major cause of youth homelessness.
Around six in ten young people reported that they had to leave home because of arguments within the family home. Some of them even being told to leave!
